Ali’s one of two Teaching Artists who has been hired for the summer of 2023 by the Fountain Theatre guide High Schoolers from Compton, Hawthorne, and Hollywood along with Police Officers within the school systems to create content for a show covering social justice issues based upon their experiences and communities that will be performed on-stage at The Fountain Theatre. The program, Walking the Beat, was founded by the Elizabeth Youth Theater Ensemble in New Jersey and expanded into Los Angeles.
